ఇంత విసుగ్గా ఏ యాషెస్ సిరీస్ చూడలేదు
టెస్ట్ క్రికెట్ అనుకున్న విధంగానే బోరింగా ఉంది టెస్ట్ క్రికెట్ 20-20 ఫార్మెట్ వల్ల చాల దెబ్బతింది ప్రతి విషయంలోను ఫాస్ట్ ని కోరుకుంటున్న ఇప్పటి యువతరం టెస్ట్ ని ఆశ్వాదించడానికి ఆసక్తి చూపించట్లేదు యాషెస్ అంటే ఒక గొప్ప చరిత్ర గల టెస్ట్ సిరిస్ లలో ఒకటిగా భావించే యాషెస్ పస లేని బంగ్లా జింబాబ్వే టెస్ట్ లా అనిపించింది ఇంత వరకు నేను చూసిన యాషెస్ లలో ఇంత విసుగ్గా ఏ యాషెస్ సిరీస్ ని చూడలేదు దినికి కారణం 20-20 వెంటనే ఈ సిరీస్ ఆరంభించడంతో ఇలా జరిగి ఉండచ్చు ఒక పక్క యాషెస్ మరో పక్క శ్రీలంక,పాకిస్థాన్ ల టెస్ట్ లు చప్పగా కొనసాగుతున్నాయ్ ఒండే ల కొసం క్రికెట్ అభిమానులు ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు 20 -20 అయితే మరి మంచిది అని భావిస్తున్నారు ఎందుకంటే అందులో ఖచ్చితంగా గెలుపో ఓటమో తెలుతుంది టెస్ట్ లో డ్రా పద్దతి ఉండే సరికి అందరికి బోరింగ్ గా మారింది అలాగని క్రికెటర్స్ భావించట్లేదు ఎవరి టీం రికార్డ్ వారు చూసుకొని ఓడటం కంటే డ్రా చేసుకోవడం మంచిదని భావించి గెలుపు సాధ్యం కానప్పుడు బంతులన్ని తింటు ఒక అర్ధ సెంచరీనో సెంచరీనొ కొట్టి టీం ని ఓటమినుండి కాపాడి గొప్పగా ఫీల్ అవుతున్నారు అది టెస్ట్ క్రికెట్ చరిత్రని మరుగున పడేస్తోందని ఎవరు భావించట్లేదు మీకు తోచిన అభిప్రాయం మీరు వ్యక్తం చేయండి భావలు అనుచుకోకండి ఏమన్న తప్పనిపిస్తే చెప్పండి మీ విమర్శే నాకు ..........మీ విమర్శ చూసి చెపతాను

ReplyDeleteIt started just NOW and you already talking about the entire series? Imagine India saved that very test against OZ in the same fashion, what would you have to say? I tell you what you would say - amazing save, excellent series and so on. Huh? England played really well and saved it well - a similar thing happened with Wadekar's batch back in 70s when Solkar saved the test (with the help of rain Gods) with the last man standing - One BS Chandrasekhar well known for his batting prowess. ;-)

My bad. It was Bedi who supported Solkar. The British Media (I was so told) cried foul for Solkar's batting that day for drawing the test (every last ball he used to take a single after defending the 5 balls). Rain came and they survived.
Later in a county match Solkar showed the British Media what he was made of - a century in 60 balls. That shut them up. Eventually India won the series and proved that they were good enough.
There is a different beauty to the test cricket altogether, espcially Ashes. Personally I like Test cricket also a lot, infcat dont like 20-20 for the brute force logic of it.
